This is an OEM Renaissance Rumford 1000 Counterweight Cable that only works with Renaissance Rumford 1000 Series A wood fireplaces (see notes below). This is a genuine Renaissance replacement part that ships new in its original packaging, it is not an aftermarket copy.
Renaissance Part Number: ER-RA0902 (Same as ERRA0902)
Part Description: The cable is designed to hold the counterweights making the guillotine door of the fireplace easier to open and close. Sometimes, the cable on the Rumford 1000 can break due to wear and tear. This counterweight cable may be different than the original one that came with your fireplace, as it is a retrofit part to fit some older Renaissance 1000 models.
This is the ‘rope’ cable that is only to be used on Series A Rumford’s that have the smaller pulleys (newer units have larger pulleys and steel cable is to be used).
