BIS 1 & 1.2 – Replacement Cast Iron Log Grate (7B26ZG)

This is an OEM replacement Cast Iron Log Grate from BIS Fireplaces. This part will ship new in the manufacturers packaging. It is worth noting that BIS fireplaces has changed names several times over the years. BIS parts have also been referred to as Security, Lennox , IHP and Astria Fireplaces.

Description: This is a genuine replacement Log Holder for the BIS 1 & BIS 1.2 wood burning fireplaces.  Wood is supposed to be stacked onto this grate- if it is broken or damaged, it should be replaced.

Dimensions:  The grate measures  21-1/8″ x 19″ x 10-3/4″

Installation Tip: Make sure that you have vacuumed all the ash out of the firebox. The ash will get into crooks and crevasses and almost act like a cement. So, you really need to get all of it out. Also some units require the removal of the two tabs extending from each side of the grate. The grate is cast iron and the tabs are easily be removed with a hammer.
