RSF Catalyst Replacement – Opel (FR-14.17.61 / CATP)

Authentic replacement catalyst for RSF Opel catalytic Fireplace. The catalyst re-burns gasses and particulates that emerge from wood that is being burned. These then pass through the catalyst in order to burn these at extremely high temperatures. The result is increased efficiency and burn time, and less emissions.

Note: To check the condition of your catalyst check to see that it is burning red when you have a nice hot fire going. If it is not burning red then it is not working correctly. If after a few hot fires you notice the catalyst is not getting red then it will need to be replaced. Catalysts will generally last from 5 – 10 years depending on use.
