9″ x 4.5″ x 1.25″ Lightweight firebricks, these are the standard sized firebrick found in the vast majority of wood stoves and inserts.  These bricks can be cut if necessary to fit differing sizes and angles found on some wood stoves and inserts  ( a diamond blade / masonry blade is recommended).

Firebricks are an integral part of your wood stove or insert. They protect the steel from heat damage.  If they are disintegrated or missing pieces it is important to replace them as soon as possible.  If the bricks are cracked but still in place they are generally fine.

In order to tell if this is the brick you need just compare your brick with the one pictured.  If it doesn’t look the same have a look at the high density firebrick and compare.

Order these bricks if you just need to replace a few.  If you need to replace all or most of your bricks is generally more cost effective to order the complete manufacturer’s kit.
