What is a catalyst: Wood stoves that uses catalytic combustor (catalyst) have the ability to re-burn gasses and other particulates released from burning wood. The catalyst operates at high temperatures and results in an increase in burn efficiency, reduced emissions, and most conveniently for the user – longer burn times.

Please note: Certain Defiant and Encore models will require this Catalyst Combustor.
